The 2011 OPARC/Colonies Crossroads Golf Tournament is scheduled for Monday, September 26 at Red Hill Country Club. The field is limited to the first 125 players to register and is an individual stroke play tournament. The cost is $425 per player and includes one chance at a hole-in-one shot at for the Ferrari F-430 Spyder Coupe valued at $150,000, golf cart, driving range privileges, $100 Gift Certificate to shop in the exclusive Titleist/Footjoy Golf Shop, lunch in the clubhouse, and the awesome cocktail party/reception following tournament play.
All proceeds from the tournament support the Speech Pathology Program at OPARC. A significant number of OPARC clients experience either partial or total inability to communicate verbally. Communication is an essential part of living, making possible the expression of desires, the sharing of emotions, and the transmission of vital information regarding health andother personal conditions. Unless mitigated by other methodologies, this disability materially detracts from the quality of life. The goal of this program is to enhance the communication abilities of clients — to “normalize” their lives as much as possible.
It is OPARC’s goal to make speech pathology services available to as many clients as possible, given limited financial capacity.
