Nancy has served on the Oparc board since 2013 except for a one-year break in service. As Oparc board treasurer during those years, she restructured the annual budgeting process, established capital reserves and investment accounts. She is a strong advocate for Oparc because of the agency’s innovative support for Oparc participants and their families. Nancy’s other community volunteer activities include the Ontario Planning Commission, Chaffey Community Museum of Art and Chaffey High School Alumni Association. Before retirement, she owned a printing business founded by her parents in 1970. She credits her 30-year career as a business owner with providing the skills to lead nonprofit organizations by emphasizing the importance of building a strong organizational structure and exercising sound financial management.
