My first full year as Oparc’s CEO has shown me, again and again, how our daily work creates real opportunities: jobs that bring dignity, friendships that build belonging, creative outlets that give voice, and moments that encourage people to show up fully and unapologetically in their communities.
Those stories of connection are why this work matters to me. They’re made possible by the dedication of our direct support professionals, program staff, managers, and leadership team.
While we celebrate individual achievements, it’s important to recognize the challenges facing our community and the world at large. Funding cuts to essential services, along with a discernible shift in our nation’s priorities, threaten the rights and dignity of people living with a disability. At Oparc, we remain steadfast in our commitment to confront these challenges head-on, prioritizing safety, inclusivity, and the quality of support we provide.
We will keep listening to the people closest to this work—staff and participants alike—and use what we hear to guide real change. In 2026, we’re expanding staff training and development, strengthening risk management, and piloting participant-inclusive decision groups to ensure voices shape strategy. The program videos and participant stories linked in this report show these efforts in action.
Because every voice matters, our near-term focus is building sustainable funding models so we can maintain and grow supports through difficult times while continuing to center participant-led decision making and staff development.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to our gala, fundraisers, and everyday work. Your commitment, ideas, and courage are why Oparc endures and why opportunities keep expanding for the people we serve.

When asked what he values most about Oparc, Robert talks about the people. He loves seeing his colleagues and friends succeed in their jobs, and he shares how the steady support of staff over the years has helped him grow, build skills, and earn a paycheck he is proud of.

We are grateful to Congresswoman Torres for showing up with openness and care, and for her commitment to advocacy that lifts the voices of people with disabilities.

Financial transparency is central to our commitment to accountability and trust.
