Our Mission

Oparc empowers adults with disabilities to achieve their full potential through employment, training, and individualized support.

Our Vision

Oparc envisions a world where people with developmental, intellectual or other disabilities are valued members of our communities. Oparc achieves this vision by offering critical training, support, and exposure to create community acceptance to each individual.

Oparc will:

  • Provide programs and supports for adults with I/DDs ("program participants") and their families, including employment, training, individualized supports, and related programs and services;
  • Empower program participants to achieve their personal goals, through its programs and individualized supports, to become active, valued members of the community who engage in social interaction and live with a sense of purpose;
  • Offer each program participant the opportunity to engage with the community through programs and individualized supports intended to promote the acceptance, integration, and value of persons with I/DDs in the community;
  • Be a workforce development leader m promoting the inclusion of program participants in competitive employment settings, and providing the professional skills development training necessary to ensure participants have access to meaningful and engaging job placements and the supports necessary to be successful in those settings;
  • Attract, employ, develop, and retain a highly qualified and proficient team of direct support and other professionals to deliver high-quality supports to participants in our programs;
  • Maintain a prominent presence and leadership position in the community;
  • Build on a solid, conservative financial foundation, by lessening dependence on government funding through fundraising programs that include annual giving campaigns, grants, and strategic fundraising; and
  • Increase engagement with current and potential stakeholders, including donors, staff, program participants, families, funding partners, community-based organizations, local businesses, and public officials.
