I have had the joy of welcoming Oparc participants into my restaurant for nearly twenty five years, and it has become an important part of our restaurant community.

My connection to Oparc began in the late nineteen sixties, when my mother worked with Mrs. Yetter and introduced me to the organization. Years later, after opening Vince’s in Rancho, I partnered with the Upland School District to offer a similar work experience program. When that program ended, Oparc reached out, and I was grateful for the opportunity to continue this work together.

Today, Oparc participants come in once a week and help care for the restaurant by cleaning booths and tables and restocking items. They take pride in their work and enjoy a pasta lunch together when they finish. My staff and I look forward to seeing them every Wednesday, and we are always happy to work alongside them. Thank you for the important work you do.
