While I was appointed CEO after the close of fiscal year 2023-2024, this annual report stands as a powerful testament to the exceptional organization I have joined, with a Board of Directors, Leadership Team, and Staff who are all deeply committed to advancing Oparc’s mission and to empowering people to actively pursue their goals.
As you peruse the report, my hope is that you feel the transformative impact we’ve had on the lives of over 584 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Centering participant voices, our individualized approach—from supported employment to diverse day programs—empowers them to achieve personally meaningful milestones. We witnessed 7 individuals secure competitive employment, 11 participants complete paid internships, and a significant 178 participants engaging in paid work, contributing a total of 87,879 hours to the workforce! This demonstrates the effectiveness of our individualized approach, fostering not just employment, but also personal growth and independence.
Our commitment to community integration was particularly evident in the success of the “Keep the Promise” rally, where hundreds joined us to advocate for timely implementation of promised funding increases. Our collective voice amplified the importance of equitable support, highlighting the need for continued investment in programs that transform lives. The success of this rally, combined with our other events throughout the year, showcase the power of Oparc's collective influence on our service system.

The remarkable transformation of Nicole, from a quiet participant to a passionate advocacy leader, showcases the power of consistent, high-quality support from our dedicated staff. Similarly, Joseph’s remarkable growth in self-respect and confidence is a testament to the commitment of our staff and the resilience of our participants.
Oparc's future is bright. We’re thrilled to announce the successful grand opening of Oparc's new Sensory Garden! This beautiful, interactive space is designed to engage the 5 senses, offering our participants a peaceful place to relax, explore, and connect with nature. From vibrant colors to calming scents and textures, the garden is already becoming a favorite retreat for Oparc participants and staff.
