This week we learned about a petition aimed at Haggen Food and Pharmacy who after a recent buyout laid off several workers with developmental disabilities. Follow the petition below and participate if you agree, we did…

Haggen Food & Pharmacy recently acquired 5 grocery stores in the Santa Barbara, California area. In an effort to cut costs and improve store efficiency, they terminated the employment of 14 developmentally disabled employees. Most of these employees were long-term and valued by many patrons of the stores.  The Santa Barbara community is calling for the rehiring, or generous severance packages of/for all of these people.

Until Haggen makes a deal with these wrongfully terminated employees, signers of this petition will boycott ALL Haggen locations!

Thank you for your advocacy.
