Tailored Day Services (TDS) offer one-to-one support designed around each person’s unique goals, needs, and schedule. This flexible service can be used by anyone receiving Regional Center services, even if they are also enrolled in other programs.
With TDS, participants can choose where and how their services take place. Support can happen at home, in the community, remotely, or at a job site. The number of days and hours can also be adjusted to fit individual preferences and goals.

Every plan is built around the individual’s interests and priorities, creating meaningful experiences that promote independence, confidence, and personal growth.
Anyone receiving Regional Center services can request TDS, even if they are enrolled in other programs. It’s designed to complement existing supports.

Yes. TDS can be used alongside other programs to provide additional personalized support.
Absolutely. TDS supports immediate needs (like learning a new skill) and long-term objectives (such as preparing for employment or independent living).
Support is provided by trained staff who can assist with employment, education, safety, and daily living skills training.
Since these services are tailored to the individual, they may take place on the weekend, on a day that another program service is not provided, or before or after their regular supported employment program hours (for a period of 6 months) if they have an IPP for transitioning to competitive integrated employment, an internship, or postsecondary education.
TDS can help with education by providing one-on-one support for your learning goals. This might include assistance with enrolling in classes, studying, accessing online courses, improving skills, or exploring continuing education opportunities—all tailored to your schedule and interests.
Through TDS, a job coach can help you explore job interests by providing one-on-one support to research different careers, visit workplaces, talk with professionals, and/or arrange a work experience. Your job coach will guide you in identifying your strengths and preferences so you can discover jobs that fit your goals.
TDS can help you navigate the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) by guiding you through the process of opening a case and understanding available services. Work experience can also be developed, designed to build skills and increase the chance of a direct hire. If you want competitive employment, TDS can also connect you with a Job Developer who specializes in finding and securing positions that match your goals.
