Celebrating Mark’s Career Journey at Oparc - From Oparc Participant to Oparc Employee

← BACK TO STORIES

Mark has been part of the Oparc family for an incredible 27 years. He first joined us in June 1998, right out of high school, working in the Work Activity Program. Just a few months later, he transitioned to group employment and spent five years working in production at Safari Lane.

In 2003, Mark officially became an Oparc employee and took on the role of job coach at Safari Lane, where he proudly supported 5–6 participants for six years. From 2009 to 2024, he served as a dedicated Production Supervisor, helping lead and mentor teams across our programs.

Today, Mark continues to bring his skills and commitment to Oparc as a contracted production worker. We’re proud to celebrate his inspiring journey and the impact he’s made over nearly three decades of service!

“Over the years, I’ve learned so many new skills and had the chance to work with a variety of people in all kinds of environments. Being promoted to Job Coach in 2003 was a major accomplishment for me—it felt great to move up and have the opportunity to grow.”  - Mark
